will Savage be able to finally kick Next Level out of the TOP 3 on charts, or will Next level prevail?

Well, I can't be sure unless I hear the song. But I'm expecting Savage to do extremely well since given how well aespa/next level has been doing, there is a lot of hype/anticipation for it.

Next Level was tailored to perfection so it will pierce through the head of the General Public and is specifically made to stay there.

While Savage I think is the song thay will showcase the power of aespa. It'll be a smash hit but not a National Level Hit.

It's all about the song, I think people will check the song initially but Next Level's longetivity is crazy so I wouldn't bet on anything. See how Stereotype hasn't crossed 5 months old ASAP and they're in the mid 20s on Melon, not even top 10.

All we know is SM kept their plans with the song choice independently of Next Level being a hit since Ningning teased the song in May lol So it could and probably will be a completely different vibe

I don’t think so because even other big artists’ releases couldn’t. Next Level is a very big hit and maybe in the future other Aespa’s songs can surpass it but for now it’s almost impossible unless their next song also get viral and loved. Unfortunately many people will use the opportunity to say it’s a flop if Savage didn’t outperform/ perform the same as NL.

I voted yes because I know Aespa will come out on top because they are Savage

Slim chance, As many have already mentioned. Oh my girl did decent after their biggest hit, but still no where close. Brave Girls did way below expectations after rollin. StayC is doing OK, but still below expectations. See the pattern here? It hard to replicate your biggest hit. If you are lucky like Twice, you can have a cheer up and TT. That will no doubt put aespa into the top group. My advice is, don't expect to come anywhere close to NL, and you won't be disappointed.

We have wait and see but it's gonna be very hard because Next level was really Next Level

True but NL was supposed to be just a pre-release. They were talking about the upcoming album since they released NL. It seems like they postponed the album after they saw how NL was a hit and waited for it to die down but its longevity was too much. As a MY, I am just too excited for the album to care that it won't surpass NL.

Actually there isn't much difference between nonstop and dun dun dance's start. Dolphin's start was way weaker. Both nonstop and dolphin outperformed at the top20 and top40-50 onwards.

No point comparing points from 2020 and 2021. The points keep decreasing each year thanks to downloads dying. Overall hardly any difference in initial performance from nonstop to dun dun dance. But i don't expect d3 do as well as ns in longevity.

I agree with you that digital points do go down over the year, but it doesn't make that drastic difference say compare 2018 song like d4 and DTNA. Take a look at the first 3 weeks of melon between Nonstop and Dun dun dance, you can see the gaon point does corresponds to the melon ULs. Nothing suggests that download could have affected gaon point to the point of useless comparison.

Uls r dead too lol. Just look at the #1 song uls. Outside of iu no one can even do 700-800k. Mega hits of this year like butter and nl couldn't even reach 600k even one day on daily iirc. NS has better uls than #1 hits like traffic light and stay from this year. Taking everything into consideration ns and d3 don't have too much difference in performance till now. Longevity wise I don't think it'll sustain like ns. Over there ns will overpower.

I showed you the first 3 weeks the reason Nonstop had more gaon points not because entirely of downloads, but the fact that Nonstop was a bigger song, and it's melons' Uls correspond to the lead it had over D3.

I agree that downloads isn't the only reason but uls too. U r absolutely right about that. I always forget about uls. But mega hits have tragic uls and their points r nothing great either. So why r we comparing to a year where ppl could still do 700k-1M yo a year where reaching 500k is a task?

I think it's chart performance is similar to ns's irrespective of what uls it has. What do u have to say shiki01 ? Do u think there is a massive decrease from nonstop to d3 in its initial performance on all charts?

As a My, I wouldn't expect too much. Next level unnier is just NeXtttt levuhl, it would take an arm and a leg to bring her down.

NS initial performance is really bigger since it benifitted a lot to Queendom hype, KB promotion plus chart pre-melon chart reform. Overall I feel like they did almost the same.

NS also enjoy the lack of direct competition and insane competition while DDD kinda lack in promotion and being overshadowed by both Butter and NL.

I expect DDD to max at 600m gaon or less.
