Do You Prefer Albums Where The Title Track Is The Best Song Or Ones That The Title Track Isn't The Best Song

Hmmm... I don't have preference, as long as I love most of the songs in the album.

Like, I can think the title track is the best song and still love the b-sides. But If I only like the title track, then there's a problem.

But If you are asking If I prefer love one song x love a whole album minus one song, then I obvious will go with the second option.

I won't buy an album if the b-sides are trash. So the second option.

I prefer albums where every song is best song.

I want them to be as good as title track tbh. Otherwise, i’d only listen to title-track-worthy b-sides. I don’t love ALL the songs in an album, but if I think they have 3+ earworm songs, then it’s worth, imo. Red Velvet is one group i’d say that is notorious for this.

Personal faves of mine are HYYH (INU, Dope, Silver spoon, butterfly, House of Cards), Wings/YNWA (bst, lost, 2!3!, spring day, not today), DMUMT/Loveshot (Tempo, Loveshot, ooh lala, wait, oasis), The Perfect Velvet (Peek-a-boo, look, kingdom come,perfect 20).

Personally, it’s been years now and these albums, i always come back to them 👌

Thankfully, BTS's main growth eras INU and BST both were title tracks.

Title tracks. A side is supposed to be better than B sides or something is wrong with the album making process.

Well often in albums such as SJ it's the minor tracks that are my favourites than the title track. I feel their music has declined in recent years but you can count on them to still deliver a good album.

An album can be a decent cohesive listen if the album tracks are greater than the album track in more cases(Reboot from Wonder Girls is a good example of this, I feel you is the weakest track). An album to me, needs to be judged as a whole, not just on how good the title track is.

I don’t need to love the title track to love an album. I just want to love the majority of the tracks.

When the title track isn’t the best song because to me that means the album had to be good to compete with a title track that I’d have to listen to over and over again when the artist promotes the song and does concerts.

If I'm getting a physical album, I'd rather have strong b-sides

Otherwise strong title track

More singles = wider appeal

1 TT = higher expectations

An album where the tt is decent (still pretty good) and the b sides are top tier. Kind of like Twice's TSB album.

if the song is good I couldn't care less if it was a TT or bside

I prefer when the b-sides are better because there are more songs that I will like then. As simple as that. I only care about the music and not the rest.

I don't have preference , but with iz*one the latter always happen for me.
