What they need is to step out of the rock zone for 1 time and make something that appeals to the general public. Only then will a 1st win be guaranteed.
Imho this wont work. Id say it will even cause fanbase drop.
Yeah, it would be cool for them to score a win. But is it that uselful anyway? They can be successful even with zero wins. CLC scored two wins with 'No', what good did it to them in the long run? Not much.
So, as long as they keep growing, gaining new fans and selling a decent number of albums, there's not so much to grieve over.
While it would be amazing to get Dreamcatcher the first win - they certainly deserve it by this point, I'm also of the opinion that they don't need it to be recognized. They grew so much in 2020 alone, and that was with one member missing for most of it, and I keep getting more and more into them for each comeback. I think that as long as they keep growing and increasing in sales and revenue (which seems to be the case, from what I've seen), they will do well.

I feel like this is the main problem with DC in general. Their sounds will never appeal to the general public. They gotta abandon their usual rock-metal sound if they want to appeal to the mainstream audience, but once they do 'at, they stopped bein' DC.
