Colorism is disease in asia. Their is one ad here, which is so terrible. That if a lady applies fair and lovely cream, she will get better job ( wow her degree and experience means nothing ? ). It is high time , people get out of this mindset

In the Chinese language people will typically use the word "hei ren" if they refer to a dark-skinned person, while here they used "xiaohei", which is more of a derogatory word.

Guys, it's Lucas' nickname when he was young "Xiaohei" (I don't remember exactly). That nickname is very popular in China (I'm a Chinese dramas fan) and it's translated into English "little black", it has nothing to do with colorism. Angelababy wondered why he got that name and ppl teased him coz it's always used for dogs (black dog), not for people.
The admin of his fanpage explained it some days ago for his fans already but today ppl transfer again. Poor the casts.
The whole cast always belittle Lucas, mocking his mandarin skills every episode and shit but this is a new low...
but you can check at 1st second "code name little black" and I think the first person who says 'xiaohei' is either PD or writer, this is probably similar to Korean Running Man when PD says those nicknames/codenames or presents page/card with codename written on it
but well cast went with the "theme" so many people might be mad about it

If the translations are correct then yikes......
I'm not defending it but I thought maybe because his name is 黃旭熙 which pronounced as Yuk-Hei in Cantonese so maybe they thought Xiao-Hei is him, but the translations literally is translated as 小黑 which exactly means "little black".
I don't know exactly if Xiao-Hei is a degeratory term in China because I'm not from there so .....
China is even worse than Korea when it comes to fat shaming and colorism.
And this is why I asked somebody to correct me. 😅
This is a totally misunderstood situation. I feel bad for the casts who are dragged badly on twitter especially Yuqi. If you notice the way Kun called Lucas, you will see that he acted like he's calling a dog coz Xiaohei is literally the common nickname for black dogs in China, not related to colorism at all.
