Snow Man tops the Oricon mid-year singles chart for second consecutive year

  • Johnny's group Snow Man tops the Oricon singles mid-year chart for the second year in a row. Their latest single "Grandeur" surpassed 952k physical copies with three versions, and became the best-selling single / song of the year in Japan.

The single also surpassed 21 weeks in the top 30 of oricon, something that until before the debut of Snow Man and SixTONES was unthinkable for idol groups, making it clear that the longevity of these groups is only compared to that obtained by groups like SMAP or Kinki Kids in the 90's

personal comment: snow man announced a new single for July, and I think Johnny's is playing with the fans to make the sales of his debut album monstrous, many fans have been waiting a long time for the debut album. I think Snow Man's debut album will be the best-selling album of the year in Japan, and it will also be one of the best-selling debut albums in Asian history.
