Maybe start with something small in a place not seen usually, so like a small flower on your shoulder or back or waist
People are surprised that I have tattoos lol, cuz I keep them hidden so maybe start off like that in case you end up regretting it

and in a place that's discreet, in case you regret few years later your first tatoo
and it'll be better for you with the job that you might do in the futur

I generally don't like tatoos, but if I would choose one, it would depend of the gender, if you are a man I wold go for the upper arm, not to big maybe 10x10 cm, if you are a girl I would choose the thorax, something under your breasts.
And like others said don't go for cheap, if you really want it, save the money for a good looking tatoo
