You have no idea, that place is more toxic than the toxic fans.

I used to be an active user but I won't go there anymore...and lemme tell you I saw a BUTTLOAD a lot of those types of questions you mentioned...

I didn’t know Quora had a K pop section, I use ordinary site and find it okay. Unfortunately, where’s there’s K pop there will always be toxic fans, it’s the nature of the beast I’m afraid.

There was a user there who claimed to be a BTS' member's cousin and an Asian female teenage trainee training in a Big 3 company. She would spread false lies about the relationships, lives, even went as far as diagnosing fake mental illnesses to the boys and other idols and would get away with it. And she seems to be a Caucasian middle aged woman. And she has a big fanbase and people who really belive her and confide in her for this "information."

Once I go there out of curiosity, and those long essay-like answer makes me thinking....

these people have talent to write fanfic in Wattpad.

Quora in specialised subjects can be very dodgey at times.

A couple years ago I was looking up some quick stuff on Zelda due a new game being announced. Saw a answer on a story element I was interested in as it might tie in to the next game aaaand it turned into a essay about sexism and racism in Zelda. Check another quora answer. Another fucking sexism essay. One final check, oooh not about some non related shit finally......nope soon talked about how it was ripping off anime and Japanese culture which was massively ironic lol

Since then I've only looked at quora for more complicated fact/knowledge based answers where it's more like Wikipedia lite and avoid anything specific in like games, movies or even kpop to avoid all the crazy people

That's a whole new level of troll and delulu

I think it has more to do with kpop fans being toxic than whatever site they're at. Forums only seem better because of mods who will most of the time put an end to extreme hateful behaviour as well as users who will correct misinformation and lies.

As someone who is still on Kquora, I can say that it definitely has its toxic side to it.

But I also want to say that most of the users over there are some of the most educated people that I have ever seen (regarding k-pop).

I used to be active on Quora. I even preferred it to stan twitter back then but it got old fast.

The questions are just as you said and it's like people never get tired of asking these same questions over and over again, every single day.

And of course I'll never forget Namjoon's "cousin" who was a former yg trainee/mnet employee/waitress/ physical therapist or whatever job came to her mind. She spread so many damaging lies about idols and celebrities and people were believing everything. It was wild.

She was the one who started the rumour about Tae being dumped at an award show by a twice member. And also that the actor Lee Min Ho was a terrible man and sexually assaulted her on set when she was underage.

Yall just now realize this? The only thing preventing its cringe surpassing twitter is the lack of fancams.

Yeah that's true I've met a lot of cool people there but the toxic people just go too far...
