Why BH so mean to TXT?

  • They comeback end of May, which is about 10 days gap with BTS single comeback. We both know BTS song will be huge and yet, the impact will be around for at least 3 weeks. How TXT can win any music shows?

And I dont think BTS comeback in June, too many competitors, Lisa, project group from variety show, Brave girls. BTS may prefer not an busy house rather than being packed like June.

  • honestly i really hate bighits timing too. txt ALWAYS comeback around big groups; last time it was twice and this time it’s bts. they never win and it gets moas angry but we take it as motivation to work harder next time. that’s how you grow.

there’s so many empty months they can plan a comeback around but somehow they alway get shift txt to the busiest months. it’s actually a thing i’ve noticed with bighit. they don’t really care about other artists and just move at their own pace. similar to how bts used to make comebacks around bigger artists without caring about music show wins. these wins and things come naturally, the same happened with bts. like they went from not winning anything the first two years of their career to literally winning 31 trophies for an unpromoted english song on k-music shows.

  • Yeah it's kind of meh but BTS will probably be a single vs txt's album so I'm holding on that hope of a Music Bank win (with Soobin as a MC). But it'll be hard for sure. I know there are strong competition before and after but I'm curious about this move. It can't be all to help promote txt, I think right now it does more disservice but who knows.

As a moarmy I'm very happy and frustrated at the same time. Yeah and potentially ruined (because on top of that they are releasing merch left and right I hate it T . T)

So yay for good music, meh for the timing :pepe-flirt:

At least no one can say they come back to empty houses. NCT, then Twice, then BTS

  • bts could come back in any month and dominate. People move their cbs so that they don't have to come back at the same times as them, so competition isn't really a factor.

I wouldn't say bh are mean to txt, but I dont understand why they act like there aren't 12 months in a year. I feel like if both groups come back too closely anything bts put out will clearly overshadow anything txt does, so I dont really see the "more exposure for txt" angle

  • BTS isn't confirmed yet tho. Only TXT comeback that is confirmed. But if BTS really comeback before TXT, well, it's gonna be hard. Unless bighit already prepare "something" for TXT comeback like a real "hit" catchy-addictive-public friendly song or, bighit is sure enough to think that TXT will chart well

FYI, BTS ain't afraid of anyone's comeback. Bring it on. The more, the merrier.

it will be a great song for sure but it's probably not going to be too bright except if we're getting a surprise :eyes:

  • It's the same way JYPE hates Day6 too. ITZY had a comeback with "Not Shy" last year and then Even Of Day debut with "Where The Sea Sleeps"

Even Of Day lost to ITZY on MCountdown. If only the comebacks were 1 more week apart Even Of Day might have been able to win.

    This is JYPE guys

I am sorry, but are you really implying that BTS seeing whatever coming on any month of a year as competition and thus are bothered to move their schedule?.... Are you ok?.. I mean, I'd agree if it'd be Adele, but I don't see her on your list lol

Anyways, BTS' dates still aren't really confirmed and if they are coming later TXT then TXT will have some time to win shows. And if they will promote around same time bh will be able to use BTS to give TXT more attention and give fans more interactions (which they seem to love) so imo it'd be good for a group

Changed the title of the thread from “Why BH so meant to TXT?” to “Why BH so mean to TXT?”.
  • Everyone will check out Bts comeback that would lead to more exposure for Txt from the public. The way I look at it, it’s a good bargain. There’s no need for the awards if your fandom is going to multiply

Basically hence why txt is leading 4th gen bgs. Why would BH worry about music show wins when bgs other than BTS can’t even get into melon top10? But txt is growing in popularity with some help of Armys especially internationally with the exposure.

And OP don’t worry June is also bts :pepe-toast:

Lol so this “method” works then!

I don't know. They're kind of setting TXT up, even for Blue Hour, TXT only got one win because they came back literally the day TWICE were coming back. But I think that teaches MOAs to work, stream and vote harder than usual, it gives MOAs that motivation.

I don't think they're being "mean" per say, but I fail to see the point. TXT will end up being overshadowed by whatever big group comes back at the time. And I don't get the "more exposure" part, are other fandoms going to suddenly start supporting TXT if they comeback at the same time as their faves? If anything, there will be more hostility between both fandoms.

No,isnt Last 2 comebacks were not busy? LGO even more emtier but the unexpected hit from SMTM won over it.

But that song went viral, no? No one can really overtake a viral song for a long time, just look at Any Song + LGO was overshadowed by Dynamite which was still doing well at the time. The timing was just bad at the end of the day, LGO still did decent if you take everything into consideration.

Pretty much all I wanted to say

  • first and foremost BTS doesn't care about the month being busy or not, they comeback whenever they want. The group you mentioned probably look for not clashing with bts.

It's clear from the last para that this is a fake concern for txt.

Also TXT always released songs around big groups, bts is not going to promote in some shows so with album sales txt can win those shows. Music shows is not the only thing important , they will have more visibility cause bts release gonna be a big event.

I don't think txt will ge shadowed simply cause they always bring something new with a release.

  • honestly i really hate bighits timing too. txt ALWAYS comeback around big groups; last time it was twice and this time it’s bts. they never win and it gets moas angry but we take it as motivation to work harder next time. that’s how you grow.

also one of the reasons bts took so long to get their first music show win, bighit absolutely don't care about timing

TXT is not competing with BTS, they are competing with other fourth gen groups. itzy is having a comeback, Enhypen is having a comeback... Stray Kids, Ateez, and The Boyz are all going to have Kingdom related comebacks in June. If Treasure keeps to the schedule they've been using, they are also due for a comeback in late May/early June. aespa should be having a comeback soon. Some other 4th gen groups like Oneus and g-idle have also announced comebacks.

It's actually smart to have TXT comeback in May before the Kingdom finale. Most of those groups will release their Kingdom track and then have a full comeback within a month or two after that, so getting TXT in before that is a good move. Let them lead out of the gate instead of getting buried in it.

I also wish we could drop the narrative that BTS having a comeback will get TXT attention. That was only true for their debut. If Army aren't already listening to TXT now, it's extremely unlikely they will start because they comeback together.

  • First of all, how do any on these artists mentioned in OP impact BTS's comeback? They're not Adele. BTS will be releasing a single targeted for the global market and all of these artists are irrelevant globally.

TXT might get a slight push if casual TXT listener armys add their new songs to their playlists. But the impact will not be huge. There might also be some opportunities for cross-promotion, but considering that BTS will probably not attend music shows if there is no live audience, it is unikely.
