Despite the most popular artist, why no luxury fashion brands engage with BTS?

  • I am quite surprised that not a single luxury brand want to engage with BTS apart from posting /update photo when BTS wearing their clothes. Chanel, Gucci, LV, Dior.... are missing the biggest artist of the world now and why none of these brands made any move?

    • Official Post

Don't these brands tend to favor individual idols over groups? BTS seems to be moving as a unit when it comes to endorsements/sponsorships/what have you.

  • Taehyungs the most demanded actor in SK right now, that says a lot about how many kind of love calls other members receive but they promote as a group so them being individual ambassadors is not happening anytime soon

  • Why does BTS want to commit to one brand. What the fuck does it get them . They were wearing Alexander McQueen, did a photoshoot wearing LV, went to an awards show wearing Ralph Lauren and for their Japan release a lot of them are wearing Celine. They don’t need to stick to one fashion brand. And they don’t need to be an ambassador when they are getting paid giant sums of money from Samsung, Coke and now Mickeys. Fuck the fashion, they don’t need it. They’re their own brand

  • Their Samsung commercial has been playing over and over. Watching an episode of the Office and for a half hour show BTS’s commercial ran three times. Being a band ambassador doesn’t give you this exposure plus their music is playing in the commercial. Win win

You are right on time. ARMY was right to expect someone to drag BTS about luxury brands when the McD collaboration announcement was posted. If you haven't noticed BTS has been aggressively pursued by the biggest luxury brand, LV. At this point, it is BTS that has chosen to keep their current relationships with luxury brands as is.

  • chanel, dior, gucci, louis vuitton, and more all begging bts to sign exclusive deals with them and being told “no.... but the members may still wear your clothes at some event later, if they want to”

    >>>>>>>>> having an exclusive deal with one high end designer

I was expecting something from LV and BTS but nothing is announced yet. But BTS is on the height of their career, if not now then when?

Are you sure? BTS is very demanding but they have no shoes in fashion world which is why it makes me so surprised

So do you think when BTS enlists and go solos, they will get some deal? I dont think BTS as a singular is the same as the whole group. People may know the group name but not individual. I dont think its possible .

That is the thing, BTS aren't our friends or even acquaintances. They don't have to and probably won't ever explain why. As fans we can only support them. They aren't obligated to answer to us, just as we aren't obligated to support them. It is an individual choice. If they ever want to explain it or change their mind, it is their choice.

  • This is the answer: BTS are not like other idols (we got this answer in 2019, imagine how it is now lol)

look at the other person i quoted if you don’t believe me

luxury designers have all admitted to busting down bts door trying to get them to sign exclusive deals. multiple bts members are known in the fashion game for their style, and all 7 members are being lusted after by every high end designer in the world.

they would literally bare knuckle box each other to get bts in their garments. that’s way better than being chosen by one or two high end designers to do an exclusive deal with

  • 1. Bts stated they not interest

    2. Bts branding is not about luxury goods or clothing.

Their image is more about accessibility and not exclusivity.

    3. You can see that bts work with “consumer goods” brands. That require very wide appeal. And they are great 2-way street deals. They promote with brands that help promote the bts brand back. They use the infrastructure of big brand and their accessibility to then promote/ expose their name to more passive “pocket” of population they previously have not reach.

  • What's the point of getting CF deals via luxury brands when most of the population can't even afford said brands? Meanwhile, McDonald's, Samsung, etc., wallet friendly to the GP.

  • MCDonald , Samsung and Coca Cola are among the most popular brand ever in the world that almost everyone in this world use lmao

    Also this.

Publicly accessible, widely used brands is where the real money and exposure comes from.

Dynamite was helped tremendously by being featured in Samsung's relentless ad campaign.

  • The better question is why are kpop fans so obsessed with fashion brands.

Why is it so inconceivable to think that they are just not interested ?

  • Lovechart this is getting embarrassing, your insecurity from BTS even with a new alt.

Why endorse luxury fashion brands when you can endorse one of the most valued brands in the world which makes you more popular with gp and gives you the biggest bucks possible? And with BTS it isn't one but 3 of the most valued brands. Samsung uses BTS and their songs in ads, keeps playing their ads on TV, McD will have their name plastered in thousands of their outlets soon. Do you know how many millions eat at McDonalds everyday globally?

What is a luxury fashion deal even gonna do for BTS, even the paycheck won't be like the one below...Travis made this much just from US. BTS are the first celebs to get a 50 country deal with McDonalds, do you understand how much money BTS is minting while it makes gp more aware of them?

Also remember when the biggest fashion brand posted about BTS getting special invites, yup BTS did not even post about it. The biggest fashion brand LV chases them and posts video only about their invite and of no other celeb's.

Shows you their demand. They are the biggest musical act in the world. They aren't the ones in need of clout but the other way round. Understand the power equation.

OP can burn looking at this cause BTS are all McDonalds will be talking about for the next 1.5 month or so, so imagine the hundreds of millions of McD customers in the next 45 days who will gain awareness of BTS.

You should all be grateful tbh, BTS keeps getting more popular and keeps bringing in more fans as they enter new markets, and Kpop benefits and so do everyone's faves as evidenced in the rapid growth in Kpop since BTS broke out in the west.

  • Is the end goal of idol groups to pose for an exclusive fashion deal or something? Like what is this obsession?

I see so many stans place such a high value on this when what does it achieve honestly? Fashion world clout that you are the current ambassador?

    Like okay... cool?
