Since they only know the 2 groups this is how I go:

"It's a lot more diverse than you think"

Show IU's jazz song, show IU's ballad, show Taeyeon's pop-rock song, show MAMAMOO's latin-inspired song, show Red Velvet's RnB.

P.S.: I've just read the shading. I thought it was a serious thread.

Me: You know Kpop is not the only Korean music genre right ..

Hmm I only talk about exo. And I usually tell them there is no one in the west who performs like them nor have stages like them with choreo and costume and stage production.

Basically I say “it’s pop music but more fun”

I also don’t fail to mention the rest of kpop is tragic and they shouldn’t check it out
