    :/:/:/

    Interesting....

They used BTS' Achievements in making this petition and they got their wish. Unfortunately, it backfired terribly. Also, highlighting the third tweet, "it is nearly impossible for people in their twenties to receive the Order of Cultural Merit as one of the criteria to be a candidate for the award is 15 years of activity."

I'm pretty sure BTS got their Cultural Merit Award 5 years into their career so that " criteria" doesn't really make sense?

  • better-than-sex

Changed the title of the thread from “KMCA, on behalf of the 26 member agencies, filed a written objection to the Ministry” to “KMCA, on behalf of the 26 member agencies, filed a written objection to the Ministry of National Defense”.
  • Well I don't want to speak over the Koreans, but pretty much everyone can see through the ploy and clownery:

    image2.jpg?width=569&height=951

The whole "nearly impossible to achieve" was the whole point why the Ministry of National defense even considered this whole petition. Calling it karma for letting BTS get the brunt of the backlash while trying to benefit from their achievements :pepenomad:

  • The high requirement is the whole point, otherwise the law would have less public support if they started giving excemptions to every idol out there.

The companies are very transparent. They started this whole topic without even involving BTS or BH and now that theyre not profiting off of BTS's achievements in this area, they want to stop this. Lee Soo Man must be fuming.

  • The way the Korean government is chilling :pepe-tea:

  • the plan backfired.

BTS are bigger than what some kpop fans and some companies think

It's not the #1 at bb200 , its the impact bts had with that #1. Somehow big companies miss that logic.

    Just bringing this back

  • lmao they used bts name for this and now that bts are the standard, they are mad. This is too funny for me. I just know these agencies must be truly mad about strict requirements for the postponement, after they spend big money and effort to replicate bts success for their acts.

Edited 2 times, last by icedbatu ().

  • these same imbeciles were the ones using bangtan’s achievements and success as a way to get idols to be exempt and now that the government listened and used said achievements as a standard... they’re complaining? lmao. color me shocked.

  • The point of bts's enlistment delay is that they made the impossible POSSIBLE though. Lol

"OCM would only be achievable for musicians in their 30s" lol. Jin was 25 and Jungkook was 21. That's why bts deserves.

They tried to use bts as a shield while not even including bighit in that 2018 meeting, and now this.

    Boredom brought me here.

  • Whole postponement is a stupid idea, just make the time they stay in military shorter... 12-14 months total (this including first 4 week training) should be enough. Then everything will be clear... They should allow sports stars and idols and pianists etc. to just enlist for one year, no longer.

  • the third tweet saying "nearly impossible". Its still possible. Its also nearly impossible to win a gold medal at the olympics and only very few actually win it. Thats the point of a standard being set, its not supposed to be easy to get.

They want the benefit without the hard work ;(

  • Tweets

So... explain to me why all these companies came together to fight for enlistment exemptions and postponements for their idols, using BTS’ name. BigHit attended not ONE of these meetings. The Ministry of National Defense grants postponement with clear specifications that only artists who received cultural merit awards can postpone and now these companies want to fight to get that revoke.

    1. Used BTS name to gain your own idols privilege 2. postponement was announced with rules on how to get postponement 3. You’re mad your idols don’t benefit from it 4. Want to revoke it from BTS.

Karma, karma. I hope this doesn’t change anything just so they can get their own karma. Thank you.

  • Damn, this is a new low.

it's basically admitting that the standards set forth are so high that almost no one can get it.

BTS set the bar so high that other entertainment companies can't benefit from it. Thus, they want it removed.

Another level of petty if you ask me.

  • Really confused about the motive behind this :/

    work in progress

  • So 27 companies in all, 26 protested against the law, except for Big Hit obviously

  • Nothing wrong with that. They don't want to take the benefit out from BTS. They just want more people to benefit from it.

  • honestly did these kpop companies really think that their groups with achievements like less than 1% of bts’ deserved exemption? :clown:

i’m actually shook over how they thought they had a chance... and according to a comment under the tweets, apparently pledis is one of the agencies who are boycotting the rule??????? umm seventeen are great but still not quite there...
