Div3 is so stupid it hurts. Performing TIF so late was bad enough, but they went ahead and chose Strategy? I reckon it's because of KDH but why are they choosing to do this now instead of August/September 2025 when KDH was trending and Twice were also there for Lollapalooza.
Anyway, the only upside to this situation is that it further fuels my NOLO pre-release in March agenda. This performance makes it clear that there isn't any Twice comeback happening anytime soon!

They were in Chicago for Lollapalooza, not New York. Is the timing of this performance off? Yes, but this is the latest song that blew up for them and they're finally in the right place to promote it.
I also wouldn't expect any new material until after the tour.

Damn this would be crazy scheduling. I'm looking at their tour rn.
That would mean that she would have been recording (at least some of) the album in the US during the west coast tour dates, and then filming the MV (or more than one!) & doing the photoshoots between the Dallas and Washington DC dates (less than two week window). To then promote the release for a one week window in March?
And then, what, the full release promoted for a week end near the beginning of May before the European dates?
I suppose alternatively, she might have had the MV/photoshoots in the can during the beginning of the Asian tour or even before the tour began, and the recording with the US producers was just b-sides or something.
I wouldn't put it past them but that seems insane even by their standards.
I don't see why they would rush to release it when they can just do it after the tour ends (or at least when the assumed LatAm leg ends)? Like I can't imagine there will be other Twice-related releases this year.. Like maybe a Japanese single... But otherwise all clear, right? With this schedule it means that Nayeon will have basically not taken a break since the tour began, and won't take a break until the current dates end. And all for the sake of releasing in tiny windows between tour schedules that barely allow a week's worth of promotion.

The tour isn't ending any time soon. They haven't announced the LATAM leg + encores. Chaeyoung released her album in the middle of the tour, I don't see what's the issue in Nayeon releasing only a single.
I suspect Nayeon is already done with album recording. She was in LA before the NA leg even started (she probably went as soon as she was done with Thailand shows) and was seen with singer Amelia Moore. Even before all this, she traveled to LA in early 2025 to work on MEEEEE with Tayla Parx and co. Yes, thank Nayeon for This Is For. She worked with her first. I don't believe that ME was the only song that she worked on her trip there.
Another thing, a bunch of composers/songwriters posted pictures with her after Twice's 4 night run in LA. I think she started working on this album as early as 2025 but it's all coming together really slowly. There's a reason why the tour seemingly ends in June and we all know June is Nayeon's comeback month.
Pre-release in March + June album release. I wouldn't fret about promos and scheduling stuff because first off, Twice rarely promote their songs. Remember Moonlight Sunrise? We had to wait for more than a month for a live performance. Shoot? Chaeyoung did 3 music shows and called it a day. This pre-release, if it happens, probably won't be promoted. I don't really care, Twice type of promo never works. I rather they stay at their houses and pay for autoplay/playlisting instead
