I don’t understand why people keep saying Rami is leaving BABYMONSTER?

Rami’s hiatus lasted relatively long, and YG did not make any statements about the process, managing it very poorly. However, in my opinion, based on what I have observed on social media, one of the important reasons is the existence of a group,something not commonly seen in other groups,who identify themselves not as baemon fans but solely as Rami fans, and I think, unlike Monstiez this group has approached Rami’s hiatus from a more negative perspective.

but imo, Rami is way too big to just be kicked out, and a lot of fans are clearly upset about her being gone. I really don’t think YG would do something that dumb. If anything, it feels like they’re saving her return to build hype closer to the album or comeback. It’ll probably be announced before the comeback, which I’m guessing will be toward the end of the year. Still, that doesn’t change how incompetent and careless the company is. and I think the fans are quite justified in voicing their complaints up to a certain point.

And agreed! What would she be kicked out for anyways! Unless it’s health related and performing/promoting takes away from recovery which I hope things aren’t that dire!

I expect YG to make some update soon I just don’t believe she would leave like this unless her health is really bad/much serious than we expected

Yes, solo stans, and I think the way they express their disappointment is disturbing. Because they also rage-bait Monstiez, their presence on social media is very noticeable overall. I believe Rami’s illness is serious, since she was diagnosed before debut and it was noticeable that she struggled during promotions. Regardless of the situation, I think the company needs to make a statement along the lines of "Rami is currently in recovery and will return to the group." etc.

May I ask, but does she have any pre-existing health issues? I feel that may be the reason because it feels very strange to have a member out for that long and not much explanation. With most hiatuses the company has told the public why an idol will be away for a long period of time. It's a very unfortunate situation and I hope there aren't any taking out on the current members, but from what I've seen it seems none of that is happening

The only thing I know is that her diagnosis was pneumothorax. And as far as I know, no official statement was made regarding Rami’s condition. The only explanation given was that she took a break for health reasons.

For real though I understand if people who are not closely following fans would feel confident in saying Rami is not returning, it has been a long time now and YG has made very little efforts to continue including her or give a good update on her return.

But there has been little breadcrumbs of acknowledging Rami throughout their tour and other stuff, like the Supa Dupa Luv MV possibly having her at the end.

So non fans I can understand having this view, but those who are closely following have seen signs that she's still a part of the group and are aware that this was a pre-existing condition she had and this hiatus wasn't the first time it was mentioned.

I mean, she's been out for months, no? Not to mention the idiot at the top doesn't give a damn about fans or the members to say something. Like, YG had 1 statement and that was it.

I wouldn't be surprised a tiny bit if Rami leaves and we're only gonna find out because she debuts under a different agency.

Pneumothorax is recovered in 8 weeks even assuming worst case scenario involving surgery. My brother had it around the same age and recovered in 3 weeks.

It's been like almost 40 weeks since the announcement.

I'm not sure if there has ever been a rookie idol with this long a hiatus who ever returned to finish her contract.

I know that there was a rumor that Rami will be back during Hot Sauce promotions, which isn't true, so I think maybe some people are saying that based off this.

Either her condition is much worse than they said, or it's something else.

It's because of the unusually long hiatus.

This is why I'm in the majority of her possibly ending up leaving the group.

BUT, if I'm wrong, color me wrong. And I do hope I am.

I thought she was on a break due to health reasons. Even if the group continued making songs without her that’s nothing new Itzy made an album when Lia took time out and I don’t recall people saying Lia was leaving the group! so what’s different about Rami’s situation

Lia was excluded from the world tour due to her break so had to wait until the end of the worldtour to announce her return regardless of when she felt ready or they'd have to rerecord new backtracks, edit VCR and video effects to feature five members instead of four just for the last few stops. She returned not to long after the end of the world tour.

Tbh, this group is pretty rotational. I don't think we'll be getting the full lineup together in a long time 😅

the reason is simple: some people can’t see the signs that Rami is still part of the group. Instead, they choose to believe false rumors like the idea that the company blurred her out of content,and forget that the company probably needs the family’s approval to say more.
