    1. This is the normal amount, and they're selling f*cking well

    2. So did they do ddaengyeo-sseugi for their debut album? (t/n: 땡겨쓰기 = registering more albums ordered to account for future fansign/other events where you need to purchase albums after the first week sale)

    3. I really hope that they didn't do ddaengyeo-sseugi in the past. If they start doing all those fansigns, the fans will be so tired chasing them around too..

    4. But their song is so good

    5. Why is *she* not apologizing?

    6. I prefer this. It's weird to see anyone sell above 100K of albums. Who even believed that?

    7. The company needs to change their strategy for listeners to stick around..

    8. Seriously this is so much better. If they start doing ddaengyeo-sseugi right off the bat, the fans will be struggling so hard after

    9. But everyone else's first week sale is so weird. This is much better

    10. Seriously everyone needs to stop doing ddaengyeo-sseugi ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ KiiiKiii's song is so good. I hope they succeed. I listen to their song everyday

  • That seems very good because the group had a lot of marketing. I wonder if it was mainly dives buying their debut album but didn't vibe with it. Also, I wonder if the group made a mistake not having any foreign members. I think that's a risk for a group when looking for sales because other nations could possibly help boost numbers. Group is performing well on the charts, so maybe they have more casual listeners than fans.

  • sales might be modest right now, but I think building a strong musical identity matters more in the long run. I think kiiikiii’s new album clearly sets a direction, and I can see them going much further from here. The new tracks strike a nice balance, not too generic, not overly complex and their aesthetics and concepts just elevate it even more. I think they could definitely put out a public-friendly hit in the future while still sticking to this direction.

  • A lot of fans seem to think Kakao somehow wasted millions for payola to buy up their debut album.

I still refuse to believe companies are dumb enough to do this. If you want payola, you buy streams and ads and radio airplay, you dont waste money on fucking albums that nobody but rabid fans care about.

I think many multistan Dives/Starshit stans prob helped out with debut album and didnt for this one because of the imminent Ive comeback (they needed to save their funds for Ive). Also, it's possible that fans have been turned off by the musical direction (turning into NewJeans 2.0).
