So I just finished the season two and WOOOW. Now I want to beat myself up for not picking it up early.
I am a huge fan of movie or just say a fan of Lestat played by Tom cruise (Brad pitt was okay as louis but tbh I dont like him very much so I may be biased)
So, when series came in 2022 I just could not get myself to open up to any other version of lestat. Thats why I did not get past first 10 minutes.
This week I picked it up and now I have to say you should not judge anything too early.
Series is miles better than movie and book. Book had a very creepy feeling and I know writer intended it that way but still I can never get myself to read a 4 year old child kissing grown man no matter the context suggested that she was centries old vampire in achild's body😒.
Jacob and sam were phenomenol as louis and lestat. I liked they changed Claudia age to 14 and also hired a legal adult for role. Absolutely loved the No shit taking change they did in Daniels character, It makes the story telling more compelling. Assad as armand was amazing and love all the racial changes they made in story. It gives ot a more modern approach.
Jacob, sam, an assad were phenomenal. I wished they had gotten an emmy nomination for this but award shows are just bullshit tbh. The scene of louis confessing in church and louis and armad fighting in san francisco were just 50000 point in acting wise.
