Why do some Kpop fans freak out the second someone gives criticism, even if it’s general? Someone can post about weak vocals or lack of talent without naming anyone, but fans lose their minds anyway. Why? Because deep down, they know it hits somewhere.
Here’s the kicker, if your claws suddenly come out like it’s a personal attack, sniffing for names that aren’t even there, desperately trying to defend the idols or group from.... what exactly? No one named them. You’re literally proving the point. You’re unconsciously admitting, without saying a word, that yeah, maybe that criticism does apply somewhere. It’s like standing in front of a mirror and throwing a tantrum at your reflection. Congratulations, you just validated the critique for everyone to see.
If the comment is general, it’s meant to be general. Not every critique needs a name tag. The louder you bark, the more obvious it is that the criticism hit somewhere deep enough to sting. And the irony? The more you deny it, the more people see that the critique wasn’t random. It had teeth. Overreacting doesn’t defend anyone. It proves the point that the criticism exists. End of story.
