I had this silly story idea in my head this morning, which sounds kinda like a typical Disney Channel original movie.

  • Which is kinda like:

Josh's dad used to be a skater, and now he wants Josh to be a skater too and make him win in many skating competitions.

He does enjoy skating, but not as much as his dad does.

But he wants to make his dad proud.

One day, he watches TV and sees a girl playing cello.

He finds the sound of the cello beautiful and thinks the instrument looks cool.

"Dad, I want to learn how to play the cello" he says.

"Nah, I don't think you should learn that."

But then he buys a cello at an instrument store and starts playing it in secret, without his dad finding out.

He isn't that good at first, but as he practices and practices, he becomes better and he enjoys playing and learns how to play his favourite songs.

And the cello makes him feel happier than a skateboard.

Suddenly there is this big skating competition.

As Josh practices for that competition, his dad notices that his skating skills are not as good as usual.

And when he finds out about the cello, he gets mad at him.

"Why on Earth have you never told me about this?"

    "But dad, I can explain..."

But much later, his dad forgives him and says "I'm sorry that I got mad at you."

And then he tells Josh that when he was younger, his dad forced him into playing the piano, but he much preferred skating.

He used to practice skating a lot, but never won in any of the skating competitions, which is why he wanted Josh to win in those.

At the big skating competition, it goes kinda well for Josh.

    But he doesn't win.

    "I'm sorry that I didn't win, dad."

"No need to apologize. You did your best."

And then Josh become very good celloist.

And his dad feels proud of his celloist son.

    The End

Well... I was kinda inspired by a certain part of the "Stick to the Status Quo" song from High School Musical.

And no, I won't write a book with that plot.

Not at me making this silly thread at midnight...
