It was the subtle skin retouching
+ The sounds of passing cars, honking horns, and insects in the distance.

If the current dramas are full of makeup and make your skin feel tight,
Older dramas cleanse and let your skin breathe

    original post: here

    1. The skin retouching these days have been too much ㅋㅋ

    2. Full House is the definition of Summer

    3. Wow you're right. Just from the sound design, you felt more cleansed

    4. The perfect analogy

    5. But Coffee Prince and My Lovely Sam Soon were more mid-2000s ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Full House was in 2004...

    6. At that time, they filmed as it was airing, so we spent a full summer together with the drama.
Around the end of August, the heat subsided,
and the drama ended with a somewhat cool atmosphere too.
My heart felt like it had been emptied, and I felt happy but also empty.
Every summer, I think of that drama back then... 20 years ago ㅠㅠㅠ

    7. It's nice that you can feel the weather with the drama. Even though the actors must've been dying with the heat

    8. You're so right..

    9. I loved seeing the clear sky without any yellow dust and the greeneries everywhere. The vibe was so good

    10. Ah nowadays, the editing on the faces are so uncanny. Because of that, I always have to stop watching dramas. It's like a wall to immersion. And because TV resolutions have gotten so much sharper, the slightest retouching is so obvious... It's way too... in your face

  • I know a lot of people who no longer catch up with Jdrama recommended old dramas because that were only what they know. Most of them moved on to watch K dramas and C dramas.

To me Jdrama is still fun and exciting. Every year I find at least 4-5 good dramas.

Just look at the old dramas you like and see how many good dramas you enjoy got released in the same year? On average for each season, there are about 20 or more dramas. Which means almost 100 dramas or more released in a year. Do you think all other 90-100 dramas released each year are way better than the J dramas nowadays? Do you think you have seen all the mediocre dramas released in 2005 for example? but you probably remember Hana Yori Dango because it was the biggest story at the time. And back then we don't have access to Jdramas as much as we do now. We got to see the best ones each year and have no ideas about the existence of the other stuff. omegle xender

  • I agree since I was one who started to watch Jdrama before kdrama at that time. A switch was progressive and I watched kdrama until around 2012 before switching to kpop. I mostly don't watch drama anymore so I can't say if they are better or not. Just that I liked the drama of this 2000s period.

I mix kdrama/jdramas watching about 50/50. It's harder to find good jdramas, compared to kdramas, but the variation is bigger and when you find a good jdrama they often are moore enjoyable. Maybe I'm imagining things, but I feel it have become a bit harder to find jdramas I like these day, even if there is a couple each year that is good, I sometimes struggles to find something that I feel to watch.

  • All three dramas was some of my first kdramas I watch and I like them all three. But it's hard to tell how I would like them today when I have seen so many more dramas and gotten a bit more spoiled and higher requirements. Sometimes it's better not to find out and keep the memories even if I feel tempted to rewatch some of them someday......
