I can't even lie, I expected the song to flop
Even with it rising on Melon, I did not expect it to literally remain at top 5 (its behaving unlike Hot that mostly only got a chance to rise when SK was asleep). But yeah, Spaghetti is definitely my least favorite release from LSF. Somehow it's that high and not dropping so good to know that, somewhere in SK, people actually like the song and are eating it up lol
But make no mistake. I do still think that Koreans have bad taste cuz wym the masterpiece that is Ash didn't even taste Top 100

It's very rare for b-sides to chart well. You do get some rare cases like I-dle's song Fate where it goes viral and ends up being #1. Then you have other b-sides that charted in the top 10 like Oh My girl song Dolphin, Blackpink's song Forever Young. and most likely other songs I'm forgetting. I can't remember if eptwb was a b-side, but you need a mega hit like that for a non promoted song to chart.
For the most part, in most industries the b-sides are usually ignored by the public because most just check out the promoted songs. Ash being blocked for broadcasting meant there was a very slim chance to chart. I'm more shocked Come Over didn't chart higher but I felt the song needed to be a bit longer.
As for High Horse it will gain popularity over time as the group becomes more popular. Know About Me is a better song than Blue Valentine imo, but it only peaked at 78. Curious to see Nmixx trajectory because I felt people weren't checking them, but will check them out now.

This song being on pace to be their biggest hit is a crime against the rest of the title tracks they've released. I am not happy about this. Not happy at all.

Hot remains the second most-streamed song by an idol group on Spotify this year after Jump. It also would have entered the Hot 100 had it not been for a 30-song Carti drop, instead it got Bubbling Under.
I'm not saying it performed exceptionally well or anything, but no fourth gen girlgroup song came close. This has been Le Sserafim's year all year, if only because everybody else tripped on their laces.
J-hope helps of course but let's not pretend he's a chart-topper by himself...

Hot didn't really underperform. Everyone except BP barely lasted on the global chart this year. Skz, aespa, Twice and LSF were all out within 2 weeks.
And in Korea, j-hope can't chart at all so how can he help LSF chart
the song is doing well cuz its a LSF release and they are on an upward trajectory thanks to their tour and the promo is working this time. J-hope definitely helped initially but he's not at all the reason why the song keeps rising, whether on Melon or Spotify -

Also, we can't forget there's currently like 10+ Taylor Swift songs clogging up the charts right now. I think they had a chance at debuting in the top 40 if it wasn't for that. Curious to see the legs of Spaghetti, but it exceeded chart expectations in both market. Also, people can't even say j-hope is the reason when many consider him the flop of the group.
Agree that it was unfortunate to release the same week as Carti because he clogged up the charts with his release and most songs didn't have any staying power.

LSRF isn’t best selling 4th gg, doesn’t have the most digital points, etc

I guess you can say that. For LSF standards, sure it was no hit. But if you compare them to other kpop groups (aespa had a fantastic 2024) and SKZ and Twice generally do well on Spotify then they didn't underperform.
LSF didn't collab with BTS, just one member who's not even top 5 in popularity. They got their biggest debut thanks to him but it's NOT rising because of him.
Actually I just checked today's chart and it's out of Spotify USA and in the 30s on global chart.. not bad at all but this whole discussion seems pointless to me now, its not a Ditto or Cupid omg

Yeah and this pisses me off so much.
Cuz a lot of Koreans be acting so picky calling a song trash and asking where the real quality is at and then they only listen to the songs that are promoted. The literal best song in kpop history could smack them in the face but not even taste #99 if its not promoted.
Also, can I just say that Blue Valentine is NMIXX's weakest song. Like, I have listened to that song literally once since its release and that's not even an exaggeration.
