U-Kiss Hoon & Kiseop join with Kevin Woo to form UX1!!! *Halo to be released November 26, 2025*

UX1 is a South Korean boy group formed by former and current U-KISS members Hoon, Kevin, and Kiseop. The group officially announced its formation on November 1, 2025, by launching official social media accounts and unveiling a team logo and introductory video. In their announcement, the members greeted fans, stating, “We’re meeting you again under our new team name, UX1. Please look forward to us.”

UX1’s first official activities will take place in Japan, beginning with the concert series “First Winter Story”, scheduled for December 20–21, 2025, at Dream Square in Osaka, followed by shows on December 24–25, 2025, at TIAT Sky Hall in Tokyo. Further details about the performances are available through FC LIVE’s official social media channels.

The three members were originally part of U-KISS, a group that debuted in 2008 with six members: Alexander, Soohyun, Kibum, Eli, Kevin, and Dongho. Over time, the group underwent several lineup changes, with Hoon and AJ joining in 2011 and multiple members later departing. While U-KISS remains active as a five-member group consisting of Soohyun, Hoon, Kiseop, Alexander, and Eli, UX1 represents a separate project bringing together Hoon, Kiseop, and former U-KISS member Kevin for new activities under a fresh name.

after using his vocals in Kpop Demon Hunters boy is taking off by storm. I mean it's about time, but I mean why not capitalize on the momentum I guess. He is talented, I like his solo work and music. I enjoyed him in U-Kiss, so definitely tuned in to see where this goes.

I was not expecting anything until next year since they said their activities were starting in Japan In december. I am honestly shocked. I also sent him a message on Instagram (praying he responds) as there is so much confusion on whether UX1 is a sub-unit of U-Kiss or not, despite their video saying they are a unit, it's so confusing so i asked him lol

that's what I thought. Since Kevin is the only one not part of U-kiss. He said Unit in english but i thought it was just a project unit of the 3 of them, not something related to u-kiss. I'm a guardian(staff) on kpopping and i didn't make it a u-kiss sub-unit, however i'm an editor on Kprofile and the admins are arguing that the media is calling it a u-kiss sub-unit so i'm wrong. and i'm like well I'M GOING TO ASK KEVIN. so i messaged him. whether he responds is the hard part.

Yeah it's very confusing to me as well because Kevin left U-Kiss in 2017. AFAIK he hasn't done much with them since than. U-Kiss hasn't really done much tbh. So It makes sense if the 3 of them got together to do something. I too, thought unit just meant the 3 of them in this project, because none of them explicitly stated U-Kiss, but unless He does, or UX1 whom I also asked on their account answers I won't know for sure unless they do some interview. But they are saying "even UX1, sounds like U-Kiss" and i'm like how? lol
