I haven't seen any evidence that Walt Disney was a "raging" racist, but nonetheless, casting based on type does not require seeing the world through that lens. It simply makes logical sense. Would you cast a black woman to play a character described as having "skin white as snow?" Not if you want it to make any sense. Prejudice has nothing to do with it.

But it's also ironic that you're claiming the witch in Snow White to be "race swapped," because that's an argument only a racist would make. They're the ones who don't see people like her actress as being "white" enough, despite her being of various European heritage. Not that it even matters nearly as much in the case of her character versus the title character, but your argument is very confused and hypocritical at best.
