Well there’s a difference: one is the PRESIDENTIAL Commendation and the other is the PRIME MINISTER Commendation. Just by the name you should understand the difference between the two 🤷‍♀️

So no IU didn't receive the same award than rose and boa

And seems pretty logical that both Rose and Boa are the only one to get it

It's not logical, tho, because IU has a massive impact globally as well. I mean, for the love of God, she's the only female soloist who sold-out her World Tour and only Suga has the same numbers, and she was sold-out her tour faster than the so called BIG3: BTS, TWICE and BLACKPINK. Also, she's the only Idol ever being nominated at the Cannes Film Festival for her movie, and this is just two examples.

People think IU is only popular in Asia, but she's not just an Idol, but also an actress as well.

I'm not saying this to downgrade Rose let alone BoA my first ever Queen, it's just, I don't see a single difference between these Awards.

So, you wanna convince me that "APT", a song about drunks, had more impact than IU's 17 years of solo career? Be serious please. This is why I don't take these Awards seriously anymore. IU is ahead of BP and its members on every ranking in the US almost every time. Is that not an impact? She's not part of any group, yet she's either in the TOP3 on every Streaming list or the #1 most streamed female soloist, like last year.

There should be a clear rule for these Awards about what impact they're talking about, because it's clearly recency biased and most Kpop stans don't understand what impact actually means.

I hate to be the devil's advocate but I'm pretty sure he means the "same" award in the sense that they are both Commendation awards.
