nah, they'll be fine. I don't think it's a Bboom Bboom situation and even then people know the name Momoland. I think in kpop it doesn't really happen often where the name of the group that performed the song is forgotten. I guess closest to that would be Cupid, but I feel that song will always be associated with group name, but we will see over time.

Ultimately, what helps the group is 5th gen starting slow, and there's no clear lead among the top groups. I don't think Magnetic will be in the forgotten category and most of their other songs chart decently enough. Also, can't forget how big they are in Japan.

Ngl, 5th gen really is not having much of an impact.

90% of the top groups that are making the most noise right now are 4th gen. I feel like 5th gen BGs are having a bigger impact domestically than GGs, and GGs are having a bigger impact internationally. Before the 4th gen, it was the exact opposite.

The only group that has left some kind of lasting impact is ILLIT with Magnetic. They haven't even fully established the IT girls of 5th gen yet.

Kpop has just decreased in popularity, and thats why the 5th Gen is making no noise. truly the last big kpop group who had hits back to back was newjeans but who knows when they'll come back. The 4th Gen will remain on top probably for the next 3 years.
