I'm mega biased bc Irene is my female idol ult, but I really like Karina's silliness too.

I never understood Irene’s beauty. Just recently I started to appreciate her more. But she gives Ice Queen vibes which I like.

Now, regarding Karina- my jaw dropped, when I first saw her. She just has unrealistic beauty that even AI can’t create.

Karina, all the way. She's so charismatic, Jimin has a magnetic aura. I never felt attracted to Irene's aura (cause', to me, she's always looked bored and gave off mean girl vibes). Under my subjectiveness, I always thought Irene looks were overrated as well.

Karina just has it all: looks, charisma, personality, dancing skills and vocal skills. Irene could be a better vocalist, but Karina's abundant and rich characteristics as a entertainer fills whatever minor detail she could lack in comparision to Irene.

If we're going straight visuals, then Karina.

Of course, Irene is pretty, but I never really understood her appeal tbh. Like, I get that Koreans see her as having the like perfect face/beauty, but Karina just appeals to me way more.

Maybe it's the fact she has charisma and like the pretty but sexy vibe all in one.

Irene is the prettiest girl. The original visual. The Legend. Only other beauty coming close to her in sm (the visual powerhouse) has always been Sulli and Sulli alone .

I also find peak Irene more charismatic and commanding as a whole, onstage and offstage. I actually like her personality too. She has a gentle yet strong soul. A poetic heart and a wise mind with steele like will.

She has this cold/chic aristocratic beautiful dominering aura going around her which is pretty intense but she is also pretty down to earth, humble and a caring person. I always find her intelligent and interesting with layers in her personality, specially for somone so pretty and who used to be so popular.

She is also pretty talented, good dancer with a nice voice. She got even better with time. And softer too. She is my favorite RV member. And the more time goes on, the most likable she becomes. I just feel a bit sad because after her controversy and the backlash, she was never the same again.

It's like she rebecame Bae Juhyun and has left Irene behind her. Yet she still clings to her pop star life and being a perfomer because that's all she knows in her life. I feel regretful about the way she behaved and the crazy controversy she fell into .

This one is hard, i feel overall Karina is the best, her visuals are insane, her personality is insane, she is a well rounded idol and it is so easy to like her, when i got into aespa i was gravitating towards either winter or ningning, but Karina just won me over when i had 0 interest in her on debut, she is just extremely likeable and charismatic

Irene on the other hand i never cared much about her but that doesn't change she looks etheral like i never gasped about a girl's visual before but she looked that etheral so if we are cosidering visuals alone i would probably choose Irene

I don't think it's only because of her lacking the skills, but also bc at that time SM had a different strategy and idols' only solo work was OSTs and nothing else. That started to change in like 2018-/19ish. My point is that even if she did have the potential, they wouldn't have done it so soon into her career. Not in 2017 era of kpop that's for sure.

They pushed her into MC gigs and CFs heavily instead during her popularity peak, rather than acting or modelling like they did with Yoona, Krystal etc.
