    Grey: men

    Khaki: women

From left to right: Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan

    original post: here

    1. Can they start working out a bit? I'm so fed uo

    2. And those men are the ones making the most fussㄷㄷ

    3. What do they eat to end up like that??

    4. That's Korean men for you

    5. Korean men keep whining about women every day but turns out, they are obese. That's why they torment others for their weight so much

    6. For the sake of kids' health, get rid of PC bangs and increase community sports programs... Advanced countries are even banning short-form SNS, but Korea seems desperate to ruin its kids; I'm not joking, there are just too many overweight kids out there these days

    7. If, as some people claim, the obesity rate in Korea, China, and Japan is higher in Korea because the BMI calculation standards differ, then we should look at the male-to-female ratio in each country even more. Korea is the country in Northeast Asia where men are the fattest compared to womenㄷㄷㄷ

    8. Is it a combination of the gender stereotype that boys eat a lot + the perception that boys can be messy + the habit of impulsively gobbling down snacks?

    9. If this is only for adolescent, then...

    10. Considering Chinese food, it's fascinating that they can remain skinny

  • The obesity rate among young boys in Korea is very high, but the comments don't seem to realize that the rate among women is also the highest among the four countries for Korea. The problem mainly affects men, but it also seems to be a real social issue that affects young people.

  • I think this must be a very broad definition of obese. I live in Korea, and while I see many chubby people and kids, I see very few fat people, especially “USA fat”.

  • My goodness! Is being fat a ceime😒🙄. Let people enjoy their food in abundance😂.

Also obesity has a really different meaning in Asia as compared to ameria or europe. People who are considered overweight or obese in these countries are just average according to american or europeon standards.
