    Day6 songs are notoriously hard to sing

    would've started with them but i dont wanna set the standard so high.

    but truly, i love all their voices


    usually, there are 1-2 voices in a group that I prefer the most but with Day6, i actually have a hard time deciding.

    Like i said in my thread yesterday, i never considered Izone Yujin to be a top tier vocalist. Her rendition of Golden was nothing but autotune and pitch correction. She never stood out in Izone. Even though i love Ive's music, it's actually Leeseo's voice that sounded the best to me just in terms of tone, rather than Yujin.


    But i was so stunned by her rendition of I'll Never Love Again that i publicly, for the first time in my life, had to admit that a pop star outshined mah girl Morissette with the same song. And according to my analysis, this was not pitch corrected, just normal effects like reverb, delay, etc


    This is the best genuine authentic vocal performance in Kpop. I know folks are gonna put all kinds autotuned, pitch corrected, backtracked, or even pure lipsynced messiness in the replies below to support their faves, but that's not real vocal skill.

    A lot of songs just get their singers to sing in like chest voice all the way because it's easier


    But Day6 be going from chest to mix to falsetto back to chest which is harder to master (since you can easy crack your voice if you do it wrong or it may not sound as smooth) but they do it so skillfully

    I would say that very few 4th and 5th gen idols have demonstrated real vocal skill. Ahyeon is not one of them, imo. but she is still a good vocalist.

    Yeah, I feel like most kpop songs just go high and call that a flex then fans will eat it up and bring that as proof like it does anything but its like


    vocal skill goes beyond random high notes and wtv ppl are used to. and honestly despite being a singer, my standards for singing in kpop has been very low then i remembered i used to stan apink and since i got back into their music recently (specifically their ballads), Eunji has really humbled me and now i just crave more than random out-of-range screaming. I want real vocal quality yk.
