NMIXX “SPINNIN’ ON IT” Performance Video

  • I feel like NMIXX are finally hitting their stride and are fully realising their identity and brand. It's nice to see how much appreciation for them has grown since their last release.

  • I enjoy the song and I think this is better than the MV. Nobody is doing it better than Nmixx in 2025. I can't wait for the album, and ordered a copy

I think the problem with the MV is that there's so much going on that it ends up being distracting. It's an overload of visual stimuli, and I don't think the seemingly suggestive nature of some scenes helps to capture the song's merits, either. Thematically, I understand the intention behind the MV, even the parts that raise a brow, but I feel like it overshadows the song rather than complementing it. I think the minimalist approach for the performance video makes it far easier to digest the song on first listen, while still flexing some creative muscle.

I agree that they're having a good year. I can't remember every song from the highlight medley, but I do recall "ADORE U" and "Shape of Love" instantly resonating with me. They're perhaps not the most interesting sounding of the bunch, but I'd love full a cappella versions of them.

I think that was the problem with the MV. I don't mind it, but it was kind of overpowering the song. Certain MVs can do that, but it didn't take away from the song for me. I think this performance video compliments the song better than the MV did. Nothing wrong with that because it's like that sometimes.

The MV was certainly well-crafted and interesting, but for me, there was too much to take in, which initially took my focus away from the song. I needed to digest the song and video separately before I could properly appreciate the full package.
