specially because for me, the real hybe dominance era is 24/25 where they had established an unheard level of influence and power in the industry. and these have been the WORST kpop years in histroy EVER!!! and i feel like it's only gonna get worse if hybe isn't stopped.
even during this amazing duo, hybe is making so much trouble and ruining the joy of kpop for so many groups, artists and fans. so it's very bitter sweet all the good that happened post hybe. specially in njz isn't set free!
but there is no denial that pre hybe, kpop was much more ECLECTIC. there were SO MANY good songs, various groups, many success stories and nowhere near this level of media manipulation and smear compaings. (well uh hybe reports)
but to go beyond that, kpop after hybe might be the best thing yet.
specially with the establishmenet of real ador outside of hybe and the growth of TBL (kinda like the continuation of the old sm vs yg creatives legendary rivarly), plus more protection and financement of smallers agencies just like the president promised.
the golden age might arise again and probably even surpass the past!
Did I enjoy K-pop when there were more companies around with a wider range or sounds and concepts instead of one that just tries to buy everything out? I don't know.
I think it's hard to gauge its impact on the rest of the industry but on a subjective level it feels to me like it's become even harder for smaller company groups to succeed as HYBE has been spamming groups which tend to monopolise attention.
and probably baught these smaller agencies or snatched their creatives and producers to neutralize them for the most part really.

When the parents first spoke out in defense of MHJ, it's one of the very first things they said. So NewJeans was happening no matter what; MHJ just needed to decide who would fund it. But long before she joined HYBE, she had already decided her time in SM was done and she would lead her own project.
Again, I'm not saying NewJeans as we know them would look the EXACT same...but it's possible they would. Even their music producers were all MHJ business partners and not in-house producers at HYBE. All the creatives that have voiced their support of them, most notably the director of their most famous MVs, Shin woo-seok, also only decided to work with a K-Pop group because of MHJ.
