    Perfume have announced they will go on hiatus from the end of 2025, but this may not mean the end. The group announced that they would go into a "cold sleep" at the end of the year, explaining that after 25 years together, they had decided to take a break to focus on their own lives, challenging themselves as individuals.

    I don’t really post much about Perfume on here but they were such an important group for me growing up. I first heard them when Vitamin Drop was released (but would probably say I became a fan when Computer City came out). They were the first “idol” group I ever became a super fan of.


    We were so lucky to live in the same timeline as them, and for Yasutaka Nakata never compromising his vision for their songs. What other pop group got such a long and lovingly crafted discography as them?

    Maybe the last of my big favorite kpop/jpop groups that was still active and the one that for sure have been active for the longest time. They will be missed the same way I miss groups like T-ara.


    But the girls are +35 now and as I use to say, the clock is ticking if they want to have kids and families, so no suprised they end it now, even if they are not saying it's the end for good I doubt they will ever comeback in full force again. A bit suprised they hold on this long.
