historical seems really wide
but if you want something like set in Joseon era, like sageuk sometimes with fantasy elements but with comedy as well
you should try:

For non-fantasy historical dramas I'd say The Red Sleeve, Bloody Heart and Mr Sunshine. All of them have their flaws imho but The Red Sleeve in particular has probably one of the most emotionally complex romantic storylines in kdrama as it places the power gap between the couple as the central dilemma instead of treating the ml pretty much owning the fl as some cute joke. Lee Jun Ho and Lee Se Young's chemistry is magnetic - for an idol-turned-actor I've oddly always found him much more compelling in complex dramatic roles instead of romcoms, where he's rather blah Speed Test https://vidmate.bid/

I wouldn1t recommend that highly unless you're an IU fan, because the writing is all over the place, but overall it's not bad. Many people hate the ending but that's basically the only thing I didn't have any problem.😂
One of my fave historical drama is probably "The Great Queen Seondeok" and "Hur Jun, the Original Story". Also, maybe "Alchemy of Souls", but this one of more like a guilty pleasure, just like "My Dearest", "The Red Sleeve" and "The Haunted Palace".
Not sure if people count these and historical dramas, technically they are but in a different era, not Joseon or before that.
"Mr. Sunshine" and "Song of the Bandits"

I know it's bad, but it's so bad it's good lol
It's another guilty pleasure. If you can turn off your critical brain, you can enjoy it, probably.
I couldn't, even tho I adore IU, but one of my biggest fave genre is time traveling plot, so I'm really critical with those. Tbf the only thing I want from a writer is to be consistent and stick to their own rules, but I don't think they did that in Moon Lovers.
But it's not as bad as "Lovely Runner" tho. Now, that drama almost made me pull my hair out. Especially the last couple of episodes.😂
