I don't know how quickly the controversy over her outfit unfolded in real-time, but maybe it had something to do with it.

Sadly its a thing. Basically people hating on her outfit saying its too revealing/sexy and blaming the cordi only for another member to have mentioned on bubble that the members preferences were taking into account when making them. WY's chinese fanbase even released a statement hating on the outfit and saying they want her to be dressed better.

Regarding the controversy, the usual stuff I guess. Couldn't help but come across it in the twittersphere while looking for fancams of their performances. Apparently certain fans were quite upset over the stylist's choice of dress for her, criticizing it's shortness. There were some accusations of SSE sexualizing her. Then, Rei later wrote a message that clarified some details, including that they had some say over their outfits, and that Wonyoung chose to wear shorts underneath or something along those lines. I only had a brief glance at it, as I hate all the drama. Then came the misconstruing of Rei's words, yada yada yada... Either way, I think although there were valid concerns, it was blown out of proportion. But take what I say with a grain of salt, as I admittedly only skimmed the surface so some details may be wrong. I mean, as you can see from fancams and whatnot, Yujin performed much of their set with some of her behind slightly exposed. I thought that would of been the bigger issue. I will say, Wonyoung's dress looked awfully uncomfortable.

Like I said, I didn't delve deeply into the issue beyond the main point of contention, but it's nice to see the other side of the reactions. I hate having to wade through the nonsense on twitter just to find some lovely photos and clips of the girls enjoying their experience. Overall, it seemed blown way out of proportion just from what I skimmed, and then later digressed into a very silly and unnecessary direction. She certainly looked beautiful, it'd take a tremendous feat of effort not to, but the dress did look uncomfortable and somewhat impractical for the sports side of the event. As a performance outfit, though short, it was nothing out of the ordinary. However, she wore the hell out of it, and as long as she felt comfortable that's all that really matters at the end of the day.
