I think it's still okay for others to boast about superficial things. I assume idols come from at least upper middle class families background. It seems crazy to me send idols to kpop training if parents don't have above average wealth.

Also, we have to remember a lot of lyrics are fictional. So, a person doesn't have to actually to experience what they're singing about. Most songs aren't written by idols themselves and rarely do we get songs that get personal. I think this is thinking too much about things and just enjoy the music.
