I think she's about standard for K-pop in terms of visuals (meaning that she's "only" just really pretty). I think she's still underrated in her importancs to the group's music even after the hiatus though.

Tbh I think she’s the prettiest in Itzy along with Yeji (I understand visuals are subjective of course) and she might not be the best performer in the group but she has the best vocals imo
It feels like JYP pushed her more during rookie years ( I remember she hosted an award show maybe multiple?) where’s her Solo? Any MC gigs or acting roles

Lia is my fav from Itzy but in terms of pushing and solo activities - ultimately it depends on the idol themselves
Lia went on hiatus for like almost a 1 year???? and maybe she's just getting back into kpop idol life and not yet ready for individual stuff
JYPE has also never been the best company at assisting an idol's individual careers (see Twice and to a lesser extent Itzy and SKZ) but they are getting better at it with Nmixx I think

I do agree that Lia has been looking particularly good during Itzy's most recent comeback. However, she did have a school bullying controversy a while back, which probably hurt her image.
I like the group but I don't think she stands out for the kind of group Itzy is. Her vocals are the best in the group but she's behind the others when it comes to performance. Visuals are subjective and I think hers is nice. The problem when talking about itzy visuals most will have Yeji, Ryujin, and Yuna ahead. I think her going on hiatus didn't help and it helped form certain narratives that itzy as 4 is better than 5.
I think there's a mixture of a lot of things like Itzy doesn't get talked about that much these days. Then it doesn't help that the area she excels in something people don't check Itzy for. When it comes to Itzy many check them out for performance. When it comes to dancing Yeji and Chaeryeong stands out. I hate to say it but when it comes to charisma on stage she is last. Also, doesn't help that she was a part of some hate trains that nitpicked mistakes she made on stage which created narratives and took a hit on her confidence imo.
For Itzy there's a lot of issues in how they've been handled which is why they don't make much noise in general. however, they usually make noise when it's stuff outside of the group. Yuna received praise for her pocket performance and I think her solo could perform well. Then Yeji goes viral when she attends fashion shows. Chaeryeong seems to go viral for her personality and performances. Ryujin had some viral moments recently. I just think with Lia she just doesn't stand out, and that's okay imo.

I will just say JYPE is bad at allowing members to shine because it happens with all of their groups. There's so many moments with Twice, Itzy, and Nmixx they didn't capitalize on and it impacted their popularity outside of their loyal fandoms.
