Why are the Democrats looking more unhinged than the republicans with the recent events in US?

  • Are you unaware that Trump supporters stormed the capitol? Lol. People riot, on all sides of the political spectrum. It happens everywhere all the time. Also many people were peacefully protesting... it hasn't all been chaos. But sometimes people have to cause chaos to be heard.

Like I said I don't have deep knowledge on USA politics neither am I a US citizen. I am aware about the capitol storming and it was also an unhinged behaviour by the far right. But I think the far left is getting as bad as the far right and are getting propped up and getting away with it unlike the far right. Like I don't know what the logic behind vandalising Tesla cars of people who may or may not support trump or Elon was? It is unhinged behaviour.

And looking at the news about LA riots ... I think it's crazy that the protestors are burning US flag while in US soil and saying "death to amerikkka" "death to west" and stuff like that and still the democrat politician are saying it is peaceful protests. I understand the reason behind the protests about trump's action but feels like they keep lying about everything first the Joe biden and now this.

I think my point is growing outside USA what most of us believed was republicans are the bad guys, the war mongering party and the unhinged party while democrats were thought to be the sane ones but nowadays I m starting to think that maybe not the case.

  • Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

I don't think burning and spitting on US flags on US soil, saying death to amerikkka, attacking federal agents with intent to harm, vandalising public property gets you any public support....... Peaceful protests are what should be but you need numbers I mean millions of people out on the streets to show what the public really wants.

well eventually the masses get tired of living under tyranny (whether it is actually tyranny or not well that depends on the masses) and if peaceful protests don't work...

peace is merely the period between two wars

I think whether trump administration is a tyranny or not can be another discussion but I think it's crazy ironic that some of these protestors seem to hate US, like the whole point of this LA protest is against deportation so like it's very funny.....like I just saw a Reddit post getting a lot of traction saying to bring US flags to protests because it is looking bad for the optics...yeah right optics....

But were there peaceful protests in US before all this? I think there was a 50 something protest organised... like protests in all 50 states or sthg like that but frankly there were not enough people participating to make any kind of statement.

Personally I think there is a lot of fear mongering about trump administration from media going on. I m NOT saying trump is good just noticed so much fear mongering even over nothing. Not to mention the whole anti American sentiment going on rn ...that's so stupid💀

I'm not US either but speaking generally about how revolutions start since I certainly am not one to professs detailed knowledge about US politics and social climate...

there are some people that live in the US that feel that they are powerless under the current administration and therefore a lot of their benefits/rights/freedoms are being slowly removed and thus they feel hard done by with limited recourse

now throughout history it is those people that more often than not slowly took up arms against the status quo because if they don't one suffers a slow death by a thousand cuts...

again I'm not speaking about Trump specifically I'm trying to paint a general picture of why certain people feel the way they do and why some of them may take more drastic measures

whether such actions are right or wrong? well time will tell

  • When you violate basic constitutional rights such as due process, snatch anybody off the street and then deploy the military to escalate tensions, you gets situations such as this. Anywhere in the world
