Chaelo confirmed to debut in the Second Half of the Year

    TWICE Chaeyoung will debut as a solo artist.


    An official from JYP Entertainment, the agency, told Mail Business Star Today on the 10th, "TWICE Chaeyoung is preparing to debut as a solo artist. We will tell you the exact release date in the future," he said.


    The exact timing of Chae-young's solo debut has not been confirmed, but she is reportedly aiming for this fall after TWICE's comeback as a whole and overseas festivals are completed.


    With this, Chaeyoung became the fourth soloist among TWICE members. TWICE's Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu previously performed solo, while Japanese members Mina, Sana, and Momo formed a unit called Misamo.


    Meanwhile, since their debut in 2015, Twice has released a number of hit songs, including "TT," "Feel Special," "Signal," "More and More," and "Cheer Up."

    I knew she'd be making her solo debut at some point!!!


    That just leaves Jeongyeon and Dahyun as the only ones without a solo or unit!


    Though, Dahyun has been busy with acting lately, so she may not be interested in going solo. :/

    I think (again assuming if the members want to) that Jeongyeon will debut prior to Dahyun (or go down the actress route like her sister)

    Yeah. I'm not sure if Jeongyeon wants to go solo though or be an actress.


    She hasn't really shown interest in either. She never even gave us a Melody project. ^^


    Though, she did hold a solo concert for her charity YouTube channel, so who knows. Time will tell.

    anyway when Dahyun said "if you ever debut solo" and Chae laughed in their Twice date I was kinda expecting this :eyes:

    I'm so ready. She really pleasantly surprised me with her Justin Bieber cover a while back and I really like her solo performances when they go on tour. She has the coolest style in Twice so I'm interested to see the aesthetics she'll choose

    she did previously say that she wanted to try acting but that was a long time ago and yeah she hasn't given any indication of wanting to go solo


    but even in the recent 2wice date with chaeyoung and dahyun - it seemed like dahyun was going more of the actress route

    Maybe she's satisfied with the variety content she's involved in. I think her shows are performing well in Korea. As a fan I hope she attempts a solo because I like her voice and I am curious what her solo would sound like. A subunit with her Jihyo and Nayeon could work.That would be a killer subunit! I assume they will give her something if she wants to perform outside of OT9.


    Dahyun is a wildcard because she's produced and written some songs for Twice. I assume there is some hunger for her own project. Plus, she plays piano and other instruments on her instagram page, so I think she'll eventually get a solo because hunger is there imo. I am just wondering if she wants to focus on acting because she seemed really into her recent film.


    Happy Chaeyoung finally got her solo because I thought she would get one before Tzuyu. She wrote one of my favorite Twice songs "Basics"
