I think Illit will graduate from its cutesy concept from the next promo, and do something vastly different.
The obsession of Belift's head, Kim Taeho, on Wonhee is simply amazing. Wonhee is getting all the deals, and she got to sing an OST despite of her weak vocals. Kim Taeho wants to prove himself in Hybe by making Wonhee a star, but I don't think he will succeed.
Wonhee's girl next door image won't win too many fans around the world.
Illit is now going to focus mostly in Japan since Katseye is going somewhere and Bang will probably put all of his girl group hopes on that. Which means Illit will get cold feet.
Plus Le Sserafim is doing quite well so Illit has to differentiate from LS. Let's face it - Illit's' members do not have any advantage over LS's members except Minju's singing ability. Moka is no Sakura and Iroha is no Kazuha - if Iroha wa as good as Kazuha she would have debuted in JYP.
Whether Illit will become a band or take a 'girl crush' concept remains to be seen, but Yunah and Iroha do not seem to be happy doing the cutesy concept, and if this promo doesn't do well, it will be necessary for Illit to take a different route, especially when Source will debut a new girl group to succeed the Le Sserafim concept.
Kim Taeho has to abandon his obsession on Wonhee, who will at best be an average member, someone who will be quickly forgotten after the group disbands. The group was formed around Wonhee, which is why Jeemin and Moonchanelle were cut, but with the departure of Youngseo the plan already died.
If Illit fails to defeat qwer this time , the transformation will have to take place, whether Kim Taeho likes it or not.
