My answer is Dreamcatcher. They are a solid mid tier group and their journey has been really inspiring to follow. They debuted as five with a cute concept, they failed and had to redebut as seven. Happyface Entertainmnent completely rebranded them as an unconventional Kpop girl group with strong metal and rock influences. Their concept and aesthetic is also really unique. They were one of the first Kpop girl group to sing about their lore and tells a story through their songs. Their universe is giving dark victorian fantasy vibes and I love it.
Because of their musical style, they don't really have a hit but they have a loyal fanbase. They went from selling 10k of their first EP to being one of the best-selling girl groups. They are the best-selling third generation girl group who does not come from the Big3 with 1,2 M total albums sold on Circle Chart. It's less than BP, Twice and RV and more than Gfriend and Mamamoo. Overall, they are the 19th best-selling girl group on Circle Chart so they are in the top 20.
Dal Shabet never went anywhere and the boy group who was created to be Dreamcatcher male counterpart, D1CE also went nowhere. Ho weber Dreamcatcher really became profitable to Happyface Entertainment to the point that they officially changed their name to Dreamcatcher company in 2019 as a sign of support. A rare and unique fact in the industry.
They are one of the most talented groups out there and their stage presence is insane. The members are likeable and unproblematic girls. Their discography is great and really consistent.
