Thing is, how do we know this is Starship engaging in media play and not journalists trying to drive clicks to their articles?

Maybe there is some evidence this is Starship I’m not aware of, but journalists nowadays are an endangered breed and desperate to keep their jobs. They need clicks and an article just about a rookie non-big4 gg wouldn’t get as many clicks as one comparing them to a currently popular group. The more controversial the article the more it will get shared and clicked on.

Even AKP does this too where they input NJZ's dispute into specific HYBE-related articles.

I'm not even trying to defend Starship here because they most definitely are engaging in some mediaplay but I don't think this is part of it.

1: kpop fans like to make speculations that increase the cycle of misinformation then cry about the misinformation only when it starts to hurt their faves.
