Can anyone tell the difference between Korean beauty and Vietnamese beauty?

  • I remember when I was in the Des Moines, Iowa airport, there was this Asian guy. I asked him if he's Korean, and he responded with that he's from Vietnam.

He definitely looks Korean, so maybe he has Korean ancestry. Or maybe it's that Korean beauty may be similar to Vietnamese beauty.

Can anyone tell the difference between Korean beauty and Vietnamese beauty?

Also first time I ever checked out Vietnamese music some years ago, besides that music was different to Korean, I saw almost no difference in the looks of most artists I saw

For example when I saw the literally most famous vocalist of Vietnam, I almost couldn't belive that I was looking at a Vietnamese MV if it wasn't for how he sounded while singing that made me realise he sung in Vietnamese. It was this guy btw:

Besides a few things in his look you could place him next to whatever type of other Asian and would maybe not even see any difference

I mean there are a lot people in Korea, Japan, China, etc. who look like this

I follow a few Youtuebers who live in Germany and are Vietnamese and some grew up in Germany, some moved here and when the talked about Vietnam you know many people will not look like this, especially not older people like 40+ but most young people want to be skinny, slim, white skin, which his why many people in Vietnam also cover up their body in many layer of fabric and wear lots of sunscreen even if its hot outside and humid and just want to be pale. A youtuber I follow, her name is Uyen, said she was constantly presured to be pretty and slim and with the rise of Kdrama in the 2000s every girl around her aged wanted to be like them. She said it also got popular to buy Korean cosmetics and when stores started to sell them, even Vietnamese makeup brands begun to work like them with more lighter shades than, more rosy colors and more bling bling and models that advertise the brands that look more like Korean girls. I watched another video some years back where a woman showed the district in Ho Chi Min City where she grew up and showed a drug store and said "as you can see, we are all 5 shades darker than the darkest shade of foundation, but its desired by many to be pale and have big eyes"
