If you had one song to use to introduce someone to K-Pop, what song would you choose?

Oh good question. I wouldn't even know what songs to show from a current generation and me and my friends are older so I don't think I would be introducing anyone to kpop for a very long time lol. But I remember Nobody and Gee being my go to songs to get some of my friends into kpop. And then I would follow up with the So Hot and Genie combo, and it was usually a wrap after that.

Depends entirely on the person.

I think this would be my default:

People who care about society issues etc, I would use some of BTS songs.

Someone who likes summer songs, I might use ABCD, OMG songs or Sistar songs.

I have also used Boombayah in the past.

I have converted a few people into ARMY or at least casual fans of BTS, but also turned some people into casual listeners of Twice, Blackpink, HOLLAND, OMG, Stray Kids, New Jeans and TXT, as well as general listeners of Kpop.

There is an art to it and you have to think about what the person likes. Many are usually reluctant at first because they think it's cringe or "I won't understand the lyrics", so you have to reel them in slowly with stuff they can still relate to their Western music mainstream experience. Often this means songs with lots of English lyrics that have very catchy tunes. Even better if one of their favorite artists already had a collab with someone in Kpop, because then that song will be the obvious starting point.

I chose That That as my default, as most people know Gangnam Style and at least heard of BTS, so I say:

"Do you know Gangnam Style?" which is always a 'yes', and then I can tell them Suga is from BTS, so they feel like they are not completely on uncharted territory.

Once they are reeled into Kpop, they lose that initial reluctance and they often start looking for stuff themselves.

I'd choose depending on that person's taste, but few years ago I showed my non kpop friend winner's really really and sistar's alone and he liked it both, like a lot. He even checked other sistar songs lol

But when I used to care about recommending K-pop like 4 or 6 years ago, I turned people into listeners using EXO and Stray Kids music
