  • They were smart to adapt the song to Enhypen by making it more vibey, less explosive, and less rap heavy. BTS songs tend to feel very emotional because the members have such different voices and the three rappers are also very different in their flows. They cut out a whole 30 seconds from the song that includes bars and some instrumental breakdowns. This feels like a flirty message while the original felt like Namjoon was begging outside your window with a boombox at dawn in the rain.

I think it works for them and it's cute. I noticed RM got a production credit along with a all the original songwriters.

  • there’s a reason why the original is always the blueprint

but enhypen did really well. they don’t showcase much of their vocal talent in their other songs. a comeback with a similar sound to this would work wonders for them in Korea. polaroid love was a mini hit but belift never capitalized on its success

  • i think the remake sounds kinda dumb. it sounds like they just put a bunch of random music instrument mixes over it i don't know i don't think it sounds very good.

the original just has so much feeling, this version just completely stripped that from it.

also is it just me or do their voices sound sooo autotuned, i hate that kind of sound. bts sounds very raw in i need u.

i don't know i think i just love the original a little too much

  • og>> when i listen to i need u, i have to feel it through my veins like im in on of those 2000's music vids when the dude gets broken up with..

the enha ver is very vibey tho... maybe if im in the mood for summer.. :groovins:

the floor is raising, the sky is fallingg, the tides are turning, my eyes are burningg, head in the clouds and im not coming down

  • Finally had a chance to listen properly. The vocals are excellent but the beat isn't really doing it for me. It doesn't match the intensity of the lyrics.

  • so I just learnt that remake means that you also own the copyrights to the song. errrrrmmm, no wonder why they can put it in their concert setlist. This is actually kind of cringe to me because BTS are still active and INU is a special song to them. Very understandable if some Armys got mad.

Imagine if Baemon remake Blackpink's DDDD or Riize remake Exo's Growl and can perform it anywhere they want plus owning the copyrights? lmao they would be eaten alive by Blinks and Exols before these company stans can say a word.

Exactly. Can't Hybe wait till BTS retires before doing this?

    Is Hybe that desperate?

No offense to Enhyphen, heard the song and it was all right.

And, Omg, the song is on Spotify, just as I've suspected.🙁

When you say it that way, its definitely off-putting.

Wait what? I didn’t know this

  • And people were comparing it to BTS doing a Coldplay cover... :pepe-life-support:

So it's basically like BTS remake of J-Cole's Born Sinner instead. This time though, BTS changed the title to Born singer.

Makes you realise how incredibly good BTS are at all their covers and remakes

JCole's Born Sinner was a dedication to doing better while BTS remake of the song, eventually titled, Born Singer, was a reflection of their hardships at the beginning. It became one of their earliest underdog anthems. An inspiration to chase their dreams. As such, it was a very emotionally packed song both for BTS and Army.

This is how BTS do justice to a song they choose to re-make. :red-heart::red-heart:

Listening to BTS voices from 10 years ago even makes it more memorable and nostalgic.

Enhypen's version of I Need You is, at this point, still being judged, whether it does justice to its original version.

  • yeah i thought it was just a fun cover at first but it is actually a remake aka it's on spotify + they have it in their concert setlist aka making money from it... :skull:

Solos were going crazy even if BTS got some credits on the member's solo songs but now... idk what to say :skull:

It's not that serious, lol. In the music industry, it's normal. BTS released a remake of 'Caffe Latte' by Urban Zakapa for their debut album in 2013, even though the original song was released in 2009 by artists who also debuted in the same year. Would you say this to rookie BTS as they were making money from that song too, considering they included it in their debut album?

Kpop fans just need to chill. BTS is a legend, and this is exactly how other artists appreciate a legends like them in the music industry.

Good to know, because why not, right?

Bts done that too with their remake just like the whole industry.

  • And, Omg, the song is on Spotify, just as I've suspected.🙁

of course it's on spotify, because this cover is one of kpop on playlist's project.

Dont be naive. Bang PD decided to do this such a short time after all members entered the military because they wanted/needed yet another ploy to get Armys to tune into other hybe groups. Bts is a legend, one Hybe continually uses for their bottom line, not out of appreciation.

Oh shit, for real? I was not aware of that. Hmmmm...

I'm not sure how to feel about that.

Haha, you guys are overreacting and it's funny. This remake won't do anything tk EN- careers or suddenly make BTS fans support them out of nowhere. Trust me, even that man knows that Army won't be the target audience for this. And this isn't even for their comeback. Everyone else in the music industry will see this as a tribute. Plus, BTS covers and remakes songs themselves. They did that in their debut album too. So, would you say the same thing to rookie BTS that they also using the original artists for clout for remaking their song? Obviously you won't, right? So, it's not a big deal. If anyone can stand up to Hybe and say no to them, it's Bts. RM is one of the producers of the original song, so I doubt he didn't know about this. If they're okay with it, why overreact? Bts are all grown men with high reputation in their company who can stand for themselves and they're okay with this. So, chill and enjoy.

That ploy won't work on me.

Just serve us with good music Hybe, then everything will fall into place.

No offense to Enhyphen ( I listen to some of their songs okie? ) but this tactic is such a turn off.
