I've looked at all of the "Anime Shown on Sci-Fi" lists I could find on Google and have been unable to identify one of the anime films I saw on Saturday Morning Anime. The memory is old and brief, so I apologize for that.
The part I remember is two characters in a hovering car that sort of resembled a convertible speeding through a desert. There were giant sand worms(?) and they attacked/killed one.
