long story short in a radio show last week member Hayakawa Seira shared an story involving the group's stage director SEIGO and who she called "super sadistic", she told the host that he would tell the members things like "you are ugly", "go die", "i don't need you here", he also told the members that it was their fault that member Sayaka Kakehashi had an accident but also that she (Sayaka) had it coming / deserved it, the later slipped from the stairs of the stage during a concert last year and suffered multiple fractures in her head

Seira also stated that she admires Asuka Saito for not being discouraged due SEIGO's actions and that seeing her was an inspiration for her (Seira) to try becoming strong just like Asuka, fans were concerned that SEIGO's words were making them feel guilty and take it upon themselves

in any case they later held a hearing with members of the group and the staff and confirmed the events, later it was announced that he is "resigning" (most likely fired) and that they are going to get a new stage director for their next national tour

SEIGO posted a letter making excuses, honestly not even worth reading

  • should've been fired without it having to come out in public

i feel that the only reason there even was an investigation was because this was too high profile to "handle internally", the saddest part is that Hayakawa Seira intention wasn't to call him out but instead she was just trying to tell the hosts of the radio show a funny / inspiring story about how the members deal with his abusive behavior
