I'm gonna assume that both colors are in the palate for the comeback and they just used wrong one.

This is a remarkedly easy fix. Ten could have shot in Korea with the rest of the group. Then shot with Winwin in China in a breakout section. If you think about the Resonance MV/performance, members split out into groups of 2-4. So full group - split to a two-shot if WW and Ten, then spin to another group. Slick cutting can include him in the group shots (he carried less of a performance role than Ten.) He can shoot PCs and stuff in China. Don’t put them in the NCT u songs that will be promoted on music shows, then bring them back in December for year end shows.

Are you talking about how EXO handled Lay's absence during DFTF?
Based on what some members have spoiled, things have been filmed already.
Personally, it makes no sense to call it "NCT 2021" if there's any member missing. (well, Lucas is an exception here for obvious reasons). NCT group projects are supposed to have all members involved in content + music.
So maybe NCT 2021 will be a watered-down version of Resonance, with less content and less music show performances.
They might just drop the album sometime in December and call it a day.

Are you talking about how EXO handled Lay's absence during DFTF?
Based on what some members have spoiled, things have been filmed already.
Personally, it makes no sense to call it "NCT 2021" if there's any member missing. (well, Lucas is an exception here for obvious reasons). NCT group projects are supposed to have all members involved in content + music.
So maybe NCT 2021 will be a watered-down version of Resonance, with less content and less music show performances.
They might just drop the album sometime in December and call it a day.
Yes. SM did a piss poor job on the CGI editing in the MV but Lay did his vocal recording and shots for PCs without ever stepping foot in Korea.
But members wouldn’t be missing for all components? Although Resonance and Empathy were all unit events, not every member is active for every portion so this wouldn’t be any different than the people with nothing to do on the first half of Resonance promotions. If Winwin slid into promotions on week two or three, that would be no different than when he was actually in Korea the entire time. (For Resonance, he didn’t appear regularly until 90s love began promoting in late November. The Oct promotions were focused around the MAW and From Home units.)
This is all academic tho because there’s no reason he couldn’t be back in Korea by late November/early December to promote and shoot content.

Considering how much time there's left until the year ends, NCT 2021 will be a shorter event, but they're still trying to push it as a "whole project", thus being weird if there's anyone missing.
