Why did Taeyeon not win a bonsang at the 2022 Melon Music Awards?

According to the Melon's official website, ten artists are awarded bonsangs based on 80% digital performance and 20% fan voting. There is no judge vote in the criteria.

According to this prediction account, Taeyeon had the 6th highest amount of UL's on Melon this year, and the 9th highest amount of votes.

Similarly, Taeyeon was among the most successful artists on Melon in 2021 and 2017, but didn't receive a bonsang during those years as well.

Why are they robbing her though? Like she has beef with them or smth? Tayeon has been one of the top artists in sk for a long long time now.

Sm will choose their bg over a female soloist any time. Taeyeon was just sacrificed for the Nct agenda that Sm keep pushing down our throat and failing

NCT has gotten a couple digital awards they didn't deserve previous occasions. It's clear this is another occasion with Taeyeon being sacrificed this time.

NCT Dream did not even attend and SM boycotts melon for years....why would they buy an award there. They don't have a relationship nor clout with melon

seventeen did way, way better than nct on charts this year, are you kidding? even if both groups don’t deserve bonsang, if one group has to go first that group is nct, no brainer. and taeyeon is one person, not two, and only takes up one spot, genius

nah expect the melon/sm relationship to improve rapidly especially as kakao is still interested in buying controlling shares in sm

It’s 80% digital criteria.

Even if no one voted for Taeyeon her digital scores would absolutely destroy NCT. It’s not about creating relationship, they could do that by simply giving Taeyeon her deserved award but there’s something going on with NCT. Maybe they both benefit from it some way, SM gets Nct to be taken more seriously with a digital award and Melon get $?
