No, he's been around pretty much since the beginning of the Simpsons run. He and his family are the stereotypical rednecks so that's another added layer to them having him mentioning BTS. It looks like he got a comeup in this episode which also makes him mentioning BTS funny like, I'm fancy now BTS are my people.
