I am not getting this conversation between Andersen Paak and Bruno Mars, with BTS thrown in

I saw this tweet too, and I don't understand, why both Bruno Mars and Anderson keep mentioning BTS

bts are so mainstream that huge western stars keep name dropping them randomly

Bruno might be tired of carrying the mantle for Asian representation in mainstream American pop. Literally the only Asian superstar in US history, and he had to do it while being only half Asian (Filipino mom). Maybe he's happy to finally see other Asian acts like BTS gain more and more acceptance with locals, along with the meteoric rise of Olivia Rodrigo who is half Filipino as well (Filipino dad).

At the risk of further derailing the thread, i hope the mods will allow me one more sentence.

Why be mad, Bruno hyping BTS like crazy before the Grammys. We know they're friends, no beef there, so in a way it's a compliment to see this little exchange. His band are also fans.

Does he promote his own work in his tweets, sure, but no reason he can't do that and maybe bring BTS to people at the same time. Maybe someone will be curious, and poof, new ARMY. They're about to get huge exposure, but all exposure is good exposure, and Bruno Mars has a big platform.
