I'm not familiar with the Big 3, but why is YG still part of it?

there were groups before BP and treasure you know ?
and soloists as well

Huh... they still got bigbang, akmu and a few others, ikon just cameback. And even if they only had blackpink that's enough to be overall more relevant than jyp & sm.
And anyways big3 is not even about earnings or amount of active groups, there is a reason they still get called that when bighit is doing better than all of them, it's more about their legacy

Itzy is still one of the biggest among 4th gen GGs. It shows JYP still has privilege.

CL couldn't even make it in the U.S. with Ariana and Bieber's manager.

You realize that any revenue you give the band goes to the company, right? There's literally no way to stan Blackpink without supporting YG, unless you never consume their content.
If you're okay with that, fine. Stan who you like, I'm not gonna judge. But statements like the above just don't reflect how the music industry works.

YG is in a good spot
BP are touring monsters & are on path to becoming the first global stadiums touring GG ever
BB are legends & even tho they won't match their 2015-2017 touring performance, they can still pull a 90M USD world tour
Treasure are up & coming but they will probably end up doing well in touring

bp & treasure are internationally famous. however, YG has a lot of successful artists that are still popular in korea (Akdong Musician)
another point, YG has been part of the big three because of its success in the past.. especially known for its talented rappers.

Because they had bigbang, 2ne1 and most especially Psy. Currently, there is bp and treasure. And ygngg soon because it's a given that once they debut, they'll be popular. There is also Akmu atm who are digimons in Korea. Winner are also good digital charters and popular in SoKor. If we go by history, the most succesful companies if we go by most successful groups vs number of artists ratio would be 1. Sm 2. YG and 3. JYP.
The fact that YG has the most successful bg in 2nd gen, most succesful gg in 3rd gen and most phenomenal solo artist in Korea which is Psy is enough to have their spot in Big 3.

“Big 3” isn’t about current popularity or even revenue. It’s about the legacy and impact these 3 companies left in the entertainment industry that started with the 1st and 2nd gen that made Kpop what it is today.
