There is now no one in KPop who has the power to counter Lee Jieun , who has become a true Senior Singer of KPop

The difference is IU gets to call the shots about how the future of Kpop will go, given her enormous domestic power and influence.
When Cho Yongpil dominated, no one else said anything to him. It is said he was the only one who could smoke with the music director in the tv stations while others had to wait, like vassals in old samurai movies, to get an audience from the powerful directors who could kill any career at whim.
SNSD had the same power but they were not sovereign and was subject to the whims of SM. IU is sovereign and is beholden to no companies, and when BTS was powerful its great power limited her from abusing her power, but now there is no restraint remaining.
Well IU does not smoke
..Neither are broadcasts any critical now, with Social Media and silo-ing of K-pop. At best for the nugu groups, but anyway they have always been abused.
So what is there IU, BTS or anyone to abuse their power these days.

Jungkook is in a peculiar station. He can stick until around 2026, and his contract will end in 2025 since he does not enlist while others' contract will be extended.
Lee Jieun is very likely to use her power to at least make him leave Hybe and start his own outfit, essentially disbanding BTS.
That is the biggest danger. Jungkook has a mind of his own. Mr. Bang will give his deals, but given that BTS will never be richer than IU because of what has happened, Jungkook might judge going by himself might be more profitable.

She can create opinion thru her potcasts and instagram, and her power is now unassailable by any act in the market.
Plus, her record of the largest concert held in Korea in the 2020s will stand at least until 2025, and people will be talking about her concert, plus BTS's essentially farewell concert, for a long time, as the closing act of KPop's greatest era. Since BTS won't be available but she will be, given that she does not appear to be pursuing the rumored longish drama (no news 1 month after her concert ended), she will remind it everywhere she goes.
The strategic situation has turned extremely favorable for her.
Metternich held power until the revolution of 1848, for 30 plus years, and Wellington died in 1852, 31 years after Napoleon. Given IU is already significantly older than most figures of the current gen, even in her human age, her senior position will prove to be a significant block against any up and coming act trying to reach the top.

That is her prerogative, as it is of anyone else. And it is not necessary to be active to do such things - BTS, Big Bang, SNSD all can do similar influencing - even when inactive.
But can you point out any previous occasion where she has created a negative opinion about any Kpop act?
And her seniority achieved in 2014 MAMA (according to you) did not stop Twice, BP, BTS or GIDLE, IVE, NJ from achieving immense success, why would it stop anyone in the future.
You keep going on as though Kpop is some zero sum game or that there can be only one act on the very top. But that has never been the case.
Success of one k-pop act has rarely impacted the rise of another, not directly.
For all her success, she is just one of the many and same applies to BTS or others.

i genuinely though they were an elaborate IU anti when I first started lurking

It has turned a zero sum game now, because the chance of expansion has ended for ever.
No one is likely to outdo BTS,
In other words KPop will be fighting for the scraps.
We already have the examples of Cho Yongpil and SNSD eclipsing everyone else. Same to BTS.
And for the first time, IU does the strength to overpower everyone, a power she will use with glee.

All expansions eventually plateau, Kpop obviously will too, and yes BTS might have been the peak. Only future will tell.
Even if Kpop recedes entirely into Korea, even so there has never been an one act domination, the context simply won't allow for it. There are no monopolies on social media and money is money.
So you have no precedent where IU has abused her influence, yet are doomsaying she will do so in the future..with no other analysis, except that BTS won't be around.
Well that is truly looney tunes territory.

Followed by Cho Yong Pil concerts in Nov and Dec..the Ancien Régime Redux
Which Lee Jieun attended, making the return of Ancien Regime complete

She remained a domesticist to the end, pandering to the Koreans. She never flinched her determination to not advance to the world.

U forget BP.
As we all should.
