I'd probably have a better chance buying my own place. Banks still prefer two income households to give mortgage to. But yeah it will go into trying to secure a living place.
How would 100k change your life today?

We could move to a house that's in better shape
-
I’d pay off a few debts, a large portion of my house, and invest the rest.
So no real changes in my day to day life.
I wonder how high I will go before your life changes lmao
-
it would change it a fuck ton

Can’t buy happiness and love.
I have the first, and searching for the second.

It'll help me pay off my student debt

I just remembered that Biden is forgiving student loans so I only have few loans left. SO, pay off my remaining student loans. Also, i will help my sister pay her college tuition. She will be a freshman next year but the school she wants to attend is expensive, like 55K per year
So after that, almost all the money is gone. This answer is different from my "How would 1M change my life". I forgot to add helping with my sister's tuition.
After doing all these I am not left with much. Even $100K is too small, living is so expensive these days
-
my parents would be able to buy the house we're living in rn, apart from that not much
-
I'd pay off my car and do some of the big projects around my house, like I need to resculpt my backyard and IDK how much it's going to cost... I'm thinking of pricing it in the spring after tax season.
-
I probably could hire a tutor so that I won't be stuck on making thematic statements and pulling out 18 pieces of evidence from abook.
-
I would finally be able to pay off the infamous US student loan debt and pay off my family debts due to a natural disaster some years back to fix the house.
-
Not much. Would probably invest that money for the future.
-
As in the 10k example, there wouldn't really be any noticeable differences in my day-to-day life. I'd perhaps splurge on some nice vintage bottles or wine or something like that, but the bulk of the money would simply go towards my investments.
-
if I had 100K I would make a plan how many months it will last me if I just live my normal life
I mean imagine I would spend 1.2K each month on housing and than on other things for example, I could most likly make this last for 8 years or so. If I'm lucky I maybe get another chance to make more money to live from for the rest of my life.
I also could try to buy a cheap tiny house and than use the rest to feed myself and pay for basic needs like gas/water/electricity and so on, but it's not easy since many cities and towns here are stricktly against tiny houses and its also not easy to find the right properties to build on for that too if a town or city would allow you to build tiny

go to uni

I'd be able to take care of myself better. I don't care for material items, if I had 100k right now, I'd be able to buy a lot of food and never go hungry again.
